Here I am...

Havent been around for a while, lots been going on.  But back on track from tommorow. A New box of Orlistat awaits me! also another prescriptin to be picked up before I finish this box, I have 4 weeks until I see my GP again and I hope to be a few kgs lighter by then!

starting weight on GP's scales 116.3 kg which I think is about 18st 4lbs.

now 252.75. next weigh in is my birthday! Zumba on Monday went really well, and also been tonight! I think I must be ill haha. Feel good for it tho, I just need to do something over the weekend to keep up my 3 x a week at 60 min target.

Paul Mckenna - The Beginning

Dug out my PM books and Cd's. With the absence of Xen, and trying to go it alone I have realised something.
My emotional eating sucks.
I need to get that under control before I even attempt any other "diets"
So I am using the 90 day plan, in the hope it will work.
It did the first time but I need to be strict with myself and make sure I follow it properly, i gave up on day 42 last time.

No weighing in every week, only every fortnight if I really have to.

Start date 17th July - 90 days from now I'd like to be at least 2 stone lighter!
Starting weight - 18st 2.

Long time no..

Cant believe the last time I posted on here was the 17th of June, today is the 9th of July! thats nearly a whole month ago!
Whoopsy.
Life has been pretty hectic, and not really in that much of a good way, still waiting for our moving date so our lives are pretty much on hold until then. Cant plan to go anywhere incase it happens to be that weekend that we can move!
Diet isnt going very well at all. I keep slipping back into bad habits. NEED my Xenical back :(
Stress isnt helping at all.

Healthy food

So I have done the Tesco shop today, and bought only healthy food, apart from a packet of ginger biscuits, but they were for our littlun, honest!

I'm hoping that this will mean I can lose a bit this week and concentrate on my food intake and amounts I am eating, especially portion sizes and also my intake of Junk Food.

We had a Mcdonalds this weekend due to not planning ahead and then a chinese takeaway due to the cooker breaking....not great start. But the cooker is mended for now and Mcdonalds are strictly off the menu for a long time!

I have my goal of getting into the 16's by my birthday in August and I am never going to achieve it at the rate I have been going the past few weeks. Ive wobbled a bit and lost track a bit, but I am back on it now.

No Weigh in

No weigh in today. Trying to do it every 2 weeks instead, after going 2 weeks last time I seem to notice the loss more!

Have had a bit of a crap weekend food wise and exercise wise. I pulled my back out so have hardly been able to move yet I have still been out and about which in turn I think has made it worse :( May have to see a specialist because this keeps happening now, at least once a month.
Its on my side, sort of hips area and I cant bend over or lift. I can stand and it wont hurt and I can sit and it wont hurt but anything in between the two and its agony

We had a chinese, a mcdonalds, a lunch out in a restaurant (was only spag bol) but still and then I made burgers and chips for dinner last night, I need to get back into eating more white meat, its healthier, we seem to be eating a lot of beef at the moment. We had Steak and chips for dinner over the weekend, then beefburgers last night, we had beef meatballs one night and also beef mince for chilli con carne. I'm going to turn into a cow!

I'm in the 17's!!

The scales in my kitchen couldnt decide this morning between 17 10 3/4 and 17 12, so i'm going to go for the middle of the two and say 17st 11. It came up a few more times even when moving the scales around the floor. (We have dodgy floorboards, they arent very even and the kitchen and bathroom ar eonly places without carpet, bathroom floorboards are really uneven so kitchen it is!)

I am finally into the 17's!!!! I am So happy right now. I feel it too, I can feell the confidence already, nothings gonna stop me now :)

June Update.

Need to do a weigh in, haven't done now one for 1 and a half weeks, will be doing it on Monday.
Have had a week of feeling rotten with a virus and not eating a lot so i was hoping that would help make up for the weekend away we had last weekend where we ate 2 Chinese takeaways in one weekend.
Also haven't had chance to actually do any food shopping yet this week with being poorly.

Last night went out for a friends birthday and had steak and chips and peas, no starter, no pudding. But then had about 6/7 glasses of rose wine.
Its the first proper hangover I've had in about 6 years.
I don't usually drink a lot, i now remember why :)

Back on track for June. Hopefully once have done shopping today will feel a bit more positive about my eating this week. Will weigh in on Monday.

The Paddy Group ran for a month on FB and now there is a new one open for if you want to join the June group. There is a small cost, which is why I've just stayed with the May one, I don't have the spare cash to be paying for facebook groups or forums whether they are ran by a PT or not. That doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend it to other people tho, it is worth the money.

I have an under 18st goal to achieve this month, I want to be at least 17st by my Birthday in August.

18 Stone!

So last week I FINALLY got down to 18 stone, and I was determined then to this week get at least 1lb off to get underneath it for the first time in about 4 years at least.
But no it wasnt to be, I am so bloated, its that time of the month from today so i dont think it has helped at all. My scales went between 17st 13 and 18st and and a half. so im calling it a STS this week.

We have a busy weekend away this week so im going to have to be really careful what I eat whilst away.
I will still try and record food and exercise using my fitness pal whilst on the go.

No Weigh in today

So I know I changed my weigh in days to Fridays not so long ago, but for May my weigh in days will be Tuesdays, which means I have to be super good over the weekends, having Friday as my weigh in was no good because i'd eat crap over the weekend and then try to make up for it before Friday which just wasn't working, so hopefully Tuesday will help.

So no weigh in today, have to wait till Tuesday :)

Paddys Summer Slimdown 2012

So I'm guessing most people have heard of Paddy Cunningham right? Contestant on The Biggest Loser last year, lost an amazing amount of weight and now looks fabulous.
Well he being in the lovely guy that he is, has now decided to use his new super powers to help others and has set up his own PT business http://www.ptpaddy.com/

He has also decided to help those using social networking sites, such as Twitter and Facebook through a new Challenge called Paddy's Summer Slimdown.
He has got over 400 members together on a Facebook group for the month of May to help encourage and motivate one another through the ups and downs of losing weight and getting fit.
He is doing this for free, there is no charge, I'm guessing we are the guinea pigs to see if it works ;)

You follow whatever healthy eating plan you wish but you have the added bonus of health and exercise tips from Paddy and the support of 400 people in the same boat as you.

I for one am really looking forward to this month and taking part in it. I am hoping it will give me the boost needed to finally get below 18 stone! and the motivation to get back to the gym or at least some fitness classes when I can.

Food Diaries

I use My Fitness Pal for taking note of what I am eating on a daily basis and also the exercise I am taking part in.
I find this helps me focus on my calorie and fat intake alot more than say how many "syns" I would be eating if I was to do the slimming world diet.

Rubbish weekend food wise

Have eaten things that are so not withint Xen Rules!
But have been to Tesco today and have bought all things that are low fat and healthy! :) so I have NO excuse this week. Have also found 5 Xen tablets that have appeared from nowhere (in a handbag) so I am going to maybe take one of those a day this week, see if that helps again.

2.5 ON this week.
Going to have to work extra hard this week to get this off. It seems like my body is refusing to go below 18 stone, I get so close and then gain or STS! I was 18 exactly last week and then gained again this week.
So annoying.
I don't know where I am going wrong because I am eating healthy, exercising more, yet its just not coming off :( GP has sent me for underactive thryoid tests and I get the results from those next week. Would explain a few things!
Thinking of maybe trying a diff diet of some sort, I have my Paul Mckenna stuff still so might try that again as coping without the Xenical just isnt really working for me, it was what kept me on the straight and narrow and I could see the losses with it, without I seem to be suffering.
Hurry up manufacturers and sort it out!!

Exercise Plan

So because I don't have time, or money to go to the gym or fitness classes at the moment, here is my fitness plan for the upcoming week.

Friday (Today) - 60 min Aerobics online once Littleun is in bed.
Saturday - Brisk Walk/Jog in the morning round the block whilst Hubby is at home to babysit.
Sunday - Grocery Shop (I was surprised when looking into this how many calories pushing a trolley actually burns off!)
Monday - Brisk Walking round a Local Kids Attraction (Taking Littleun out for the day with a friend to a farm park, also involves me climbing around a Soft Play no doubt)
Tuesday - 60 Min Aerobics online or on Wii Fit
Wednesday - Brisk Walk/Jog round block once littleun is in bed (Hurray for Lighter Nights)
Thursday - 60 Min Aerobics online

Last weeks Weigh in

I totally forgot to log in here what my Weight was last Friday, 9th March 2012. a big fat 0 loss, but I am pleased with a STS, No gain. As that meant I kept the 5lb off from the previous weeks loss.

Having a bit of trouble with Xenical at the moment, not myself but just the fact that it is still not in stock. I have now gone down to taking just 1 a day, I only have 13 days left. Finding it a struggle to get on by with it like this, don't feel like it is keeping me on track enough or enough of a threat to me e.g Mr Tango Man visiting.

Get in!!! I am SO made up with that result. I think changing the weigh in days to a Friday was a really good idea! Had a naughty weekendlast weekend but this week we have all had a cold flu virus kind of thing so havent really done any exercise or ate properly, yet still managed to lose! haha, fantastic :)
Probably put it all back on next week once I start eating properly again!

No Weigh in today

Totally forgot all about my Weigh in this morning as was rather pre-occupied rushing around trying to get out in time for a hospital appointment.
Will just leave it till Friday now, I don't want to be weighing myself twice this week now.

Had a lovely weekend with friends visiting, didn't too great with my eating but back on track today. Although having a banana for breakfast and nothing else isn't really a great start! :)

Friday Weigh in

So we had friends to visit us this weekend, we I decided to weigh myself on Friday to see how much damage I am causing over the weekends and also because I knew that I wouldnt be able to keep on track as such this weekend with the activities we had planned.

I had lost 0.5lb since my monday Weigh in, which I was rather pleased about after STS last week, Probably due to the 4 and a half hours walking I did around Bluewater Shopping Centre on Thursday!

This weekend I had had a Chinese takeaway and a Trip to TGI Fridays to contend with but I havent done too badly. I have said no to snacks and puddings and had one treat in the form of Dairy free ice cream, which was pure heaven. Everyone should try some! A Smelly STS

My own fault, did so well this week, especially with exercise and let myself down at the weekend...again.

I know I have said it before but I am seriously wondering whether or not to change my weigh in day to a Friday, I always cock it up at the weekend.

So this week I am going to weigh myself on Friday, then again on Monday and see the difference if any.

We are so busy at the moment looking at houses, last weekend we had 9 in one day, this weekend we had another 3 and then the weekly food shop to do, then some birthday present shopping then some chores to run, fun never stops. Which means we are constantly caught out being hungry in places we shouldnt eat, e.g near junk food restaurants.

1.5 off

Another 1.5 off this week, Shame I couldnt have got that other half a pound and made it the 10lb so far this year but will work on it for next week.
I NEED a big loss next week, This little ones are not doing a lot for my confidence and motivation, at least 3lb would be fab so I am going to up my game this week.
Last week I was slacking for one reason or another but this week I have no excuse.

Weigh in day

Don't think I have lost this week, have yet to get on the scales having only just woken up, need a wee first! (Every little helps)

I am feeling slimmer, I need to do my measurements again at some point to see if I have lost any cms this month. I'm sure I have as my trousers are loser and my bra's aren't as snug. I don't mind if the weight loss isn't huge per month as at least its not going up, its slowly coming down.

Diet experts say if the weight comes off too quickly it goes back on a lot quicker if you aren't careful, so I'm happy with my 7.5lb loss for January.

Big numbers would be a good motivation I agree, but I'm not in a rush, if I take it slow then I can settle into it and keep at it rather than doing a bit, losing weight, coming off a diet and going back to the junk plan.

Tired

I am SO tired this week, I cant seem to find energy from anywhere, I wish I could have caffeine! (Gives me a headache)
Any ideas of some natural energy boosters? Keeping in mind that I can't have dairy or citrus inc citric Acid or any pork products such as gelatine.
Awkward much? ha.

Hubby and Toddler are both coming down with coughs and colds, i'm sure they will catch up with me in the next week or so, so I have that to look forward to! Hopefully with being on a low fat and lower calorie diet and not eating so much crap and junk food then I will be able to fight off the bugs a bit more. (or is that just wishful thinking?)

To celebrate I am having my monthly chinese (takeaway) (Sauce and boiled rice, so not too naughty) and a beer as a treat, it is also a double celebration as we may have finaly sold our flat! Accepted an offer on it today so fingers crossed it is 4th time lucky for us :)

Time of the Month

Do you struggle with your food/diet/exercising when it is time of the month?
Aunt Flo decided to show up today so I am going to have a fun weigh in tommorow. Nice and bloated! Wahey.

I find I scoff myself silly when its period time, so i'm trying to be sensible, although we did end up at KFC this weekend.

I am contemplating changing my weigh in day to a friday, I always seem to mess up the whole weeks efforts at the weekend and then I dont see any results. So we will see how we go over the next weekend or 2 and then see about maybe changing it.

Hormones?

Hormones... those lovely things inside us that create havoc.

Wish mine would go away for a while and leave me to some stress free, emotion free time to myself.

Things not going so great, diet fine is fine, still sticking to the rules and taking tablets, but emotional wise not so great. bit stressed and that usually makes me turn to food for comrfort and I am finding it so hard to resist!

I made Chocolate Flapjacks yesterday for Hubby to take into work and he forgot to take them in this morning so they are sitting in the kitchen calling out my name. Evil things.

Whats your weakness when stressed or feeling down? what do you turn to for comfort?

The use of online forums.

I am a member of a few forums online, and I still to this day am amazed by some people and their attitudes on them.
Some people can be downright pathetic and act like children.

I personally use a Forum for support, whether it be for weight loss, parenting or just on another subject or hobby I am interested in.
We all use a forum for the same reason, to talk about a topic that is of interest to us, or that we need support in that we may not find elsewhere, such as from our friends and family around us in "real life"

But when people start using them as ways to "target" people, or Bully people for no good reason at all, It disgusts me. Surely people have better things to do with their lives? and if they don't, well they need to take up a new hobby. Harassing people who have done nothing but show support for others on the forum is ridiculous, and they are surely only doing it out of jealousy. Whether it be they are jealous of how popular the person is, how well liked the person is or how many posts that person has I don't know, but there is no acceptable reason for Harassment.

So to those who are doing it, take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror and realise just how pathetic you are, and then do us all a favour and grow up.

Just a random funny

Exercise

I really struggle with exercising, Having a toddler really doesn't help matters, I am limited on babysitters and with Hubby working strange shifts at the moment I don't get to go out after he finishes work. (also I don't drive so would have to take toddler along in car too, usually to activities after her bedtime)
I have a gym membership that I set up last year but haven't used it since my ear op end of October.

I have a Wii Fit at home but my Toddler no longer naps in the daytime and refuses to sit in her highchair for half an hour whilst watching Mummy prance around the front room like an big wobbly jelly.

I have exercise DVDs but to be honest I am too ashamed to do them of an evening in front of my Husband (ridiculous I know, but I feel very self conscious about my thighs slapping together when doing scissor stretches! lol)

I feel like I am constantly making excuses for exercise, I could take Toddler out for a brisk walk around the block.....If we didn't have water works going on in our road so there isn't actually any pavement to walk on at the moment. See what I mean!? Argh.

A Loss Hurrah!

So my scales were being a bit temperamental this morning.

they varied between  11lb 3/4 and 12.5lb so I took the middle one!

A Loss of 1.5lb this week. Could have been better, but that makes 5lb in 2 weeks so I am really happy with that :) Thinking Positive! A New Week, A New and Better Regime of Exercise I hope.

I've been Tangoed.

To anyone thinking of starting them here are some of my Top Tips.

1. Dont eat crap the night before you start them as it will still be in your system for a few days and can give you the "oranges"
2. Stay away from Cheese
3. Stay away from Oily Fish and also using Oil in cooking, Use Fry Light.

Going to make chicken and mash and veg for dinner.

Done 20 min on Zumba on the Wii.

Need to take measurements tonight, but must find tape measure in the meantime!
